Welcome to Bangalore East Round Table 27 (BERT27), a professional network of accomplished entrepreneurs that was founded in 1974. Our club is dedicated to fostering fellowship and professional development among our members, we work together to create positive change in our community and civic life.

Our membership consists of like-minded individuals between the age of 30 and 40, who retire from the table at 40.

We hold regular meetings to exchange our ideas and execute our agenda for the year, which might include formal business meetings, social gatherings, learning events, knowledge-building excursions, family outings, sporting activities, or outstation retreats.

We conduct our Annual General Meeting in July, to elect our Head Board for the year, consisting of the Chairman, Vice Chairman, Secretary, Treasurer and Immediate Past Chairman. The Chairman appoints convenors to take on additional roles, such as Fellowship, Extension, Fundraising, Community Service, Knowledge Building, and Publicity.

BERT 27 hosts hold fundraising events to support our community service initiatives, partnering with other leading service organizations and NGOs. Our focus areas include education, healthcare, women’s empowerment, life-saving surgeries, and skill development.

We are proud to run a Public Charitable Trust registered u/s 12A (a) of IT Act, 1961, and have received an 80(G) approval issued by ITO, Bangalore.

Round Table History

  • Round Table International (RTI) was founded by Louis Marchesi, a young member of Norwich Rotary Club who recognized the need for a club where young businessmen could gather on a regular basis to exchange ideas, learn from their peers, and play an active role in the civic life of Norwich.
  • Since its inception in 1927, RTI has grown rapidly, with the first overseas Table established in Copenhagen in 1936, and membership of 4.600 by 1939.
  • By the end of World War II, RTI expanded rapidly, with Tables being charted all over the UK. Today, there are approximately 900 Tables with a membership of around 10.000. RTI has proven to have international appeal, with Tables established in over 50 countries.

  • Round Table India (RTI) is a non-political organization of young men between the ages of 18-40 who are committed to promoting service, fellowship, and goodwill in national and international affairs. It was founded in 1962 with only 100 members, RTI has since grown to become a 4.600 member strong association of individuals who are passionate about eradicating illiteracy and improving healthcare access in India.

  • RTI has 303 chapters, called Tables, located in 124 cities in India, comprising young leaders from business, entrepreneurship, technology and various professions. RTI is committed to promoting education and healthcare initiatives in the country through its National Projects.
  • The Round Table India Trust is a Public Charitable Trust registered u/s 12 AA of IT Act, with an 80G approval issued by ITO, Chennai. It has also obtained registration from the Government of India, Ministry of Home Affairs, New Delhi, to receive foreign donations.

These members include the Founder and Chairman of one of India’s largest Commercial Real Estate Developers and the Founder of a prominent technology company and the founder of a prominent furniture company.

The Table has a proud history of making a meaningful difference in the lives of the people it serves, and its members are committed to continuing this legacy for many years to come.

Sankalp India Foundation

It enables reliable transplants on a non-profit basis. The organisation offers the option of cure to the most appropriate candidates irrespective of their financial status. At the cost equivalent to 4-5 years of thalassemia management, the organisation offers a complete cure.
